Company adds more than 1.1 million square feet with new facilities

HOUSTON, May 14, 2013 /PR Newswire/ — Port Logistics Group, the nation’s leading provider of gateway logistics services, today announced it has added more than 1.1 million square feet of warehouse space to its City of Industry, CA Retail Distribution Campus with the opening of two new facilities.
The expansion will support growth with new and existing clients. Port Logistics Group provides a complete array of retail distribution services to manufacturers and retailers, including inventory management, case and item picking, specialized packing, garment-on-hanger (GOH), and value-added services. The company also operates drayage, transloading and cross-docking, and distribution operations from facilities in Rancho Dominguez, CA.
The new 350,000 square foot facility on Rowland Street is adjacent to an existing Port Logistics Group client operation and will house both new and existing clients. A 775,000 square foot facility on Mayo Avenue will house three new customer accounts and also provide additional capacity for growth. The new facilities, along with a 315,000 square foot dedicated operation that opened in January, bring the total Retail Distribution Campus capacity to more than 2.5 million square feet.
