Port Logistics Group Announces Multi-Year Logistics Agreement with American Essentials/McGregor Industries

Leading Apparel Manufacturer Selects Port Logistics Group for West Coast Distribution

LOS ANGELES, October 27, 2015 /PR Newswire/ — Port Logistics Group, the nation’s leading provider of gateway logistics services, today announced a multi-year service agreement with American Essentials Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of McGregor Industries Inc., a global leader in better men’s, women’s and children’s socks and legwear. Port Logistics Group will provide warehousing, inventory management, value-added services and regional transportation in support of the American Essentials’ North American distribution. American Essentials sells and distributes to major U.S. and global retail outlets and holds licenses to well-known brands including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Cole Haan, Chaps and IZOD.

Port Logistics Group’s retail implementation experts worked with American Essentials to design the warehouse space, daily workflow, and retail store EDI interfaces. “This project showcases our strong retail knowledge, experience and systems,” said Jeff Wolpov, Chief Commercial Officer for Port Logistics Group. “We know how critical it was for the American Essentials team to have a seamless transition, with no interruption to communication and delivery to their very demanding retail clients, and our people delivered.”

Port Logistics Group will service American Essentials from its City of Industry, CA retail distribution campus, where the company operates nearly 2.5 million square feet of dedicated and multi-client facilities shipping to retailers, wholesale distributors and direct to consumers.
