We actually are classified as the last mile for the imports that come in from overseas. What we do is we go to the ports with our trackers, we pick up the ocean containers, we bring them back here to the facility or we can take them direct to market as per the customer’s instructions.
We’re about 4-5 miles from the ports. We do drayage, we bring the ocean containers in here, we do transloading, we take the goods out of the ocean containers and put them directly into the outbound trailers.
Then we have cross-docking, which allows us to take the goods out of the containers, we put it into the warehouse. And then as per the customers’ orders, we will do the distribution. And then away it goes to market.
We’re nationally located; we’re port driven, for imports. You have to have the facilities and locations at the ports. Now we can offer the customer basically a menu that takes care of all the different port locations.
