Jeff Wolpov serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Whiplash Inc. He is responsible for leading the company’s vision and strategy in omnichannel fulfillment solutions, driving business growth and achieving results. He was most recently President and Chief Commercial Officer, where he built and nurtured customer relationships that allowed Port Logistics Group, now Whiplash Inc., to grow from a regional collection of acquired businesses to a national logistics provider, achieving year-over-year revenue growth of nearly 15 percent. Jeff continues to hold a board seat at the company. Prior to joining in 2008, Jeff was the founder and CEO of Distribution Solutions, which he grew from a startup business to a $50M regional logistics firm that served as the platform company for Whiplash Inc. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
As President and Chief Commercial Officer, Greg Morello draws on more than 25 years of supply chain industry and entrepreneurial experience. This includes senior positions in sales management and marketing as well as brand development. He is responsible for strategic growth, marketing, customer relationship management, and product development at Whiplash Inc., including its namesake ecommerce fulfillment platform. Prior to joining Port Logistics Group, now Whiplash, Inc., in 2010, he led contract logistics sales in the Americas region for UTi Worldwide Inc., a supply chain services organization, and in 1999 co-founded Concentrek, Inc., a non-asset based transportation management company that was subsequently acquired by UTi. Greg is a graduate of Bucknell University and received his MBA from St. Martin’s College while serving as an officer in the U.S. Army.
As chairman of the company’s board, Bob Stull plays a key role in advising the executive leadership team. Since founding Port Logistics Group, now Whiplash Inc., in 2008, Bob served as its chief executive officer for 10 years, building the company into a leading omnichannel fulfillment provider with more than $200M in revenue. Bob began his career in logistics more than 40 years ago at Roadway Express, one of the largest transportation companies in the United States. He progressed through the ranks and eventually became president of the $3 billion enterprise. Bob also served as Vice President of new venture commerce for Roadway Corporation and was responsible for diversifying and growing the company’s portfolio of businesses, broadening its network of strategic partnerships and launching new products. Bob is a graduate of Miami University and The University of Ohio.
Marty is responsible for corporate finance, administration and investor relations. His background includes a broad range of accounting, finance and operations leadership roles in public and private companies. Most recently, he was the CFO at Agility Logistics and a principal at Kenelly CFO, LLC, where he provided interim CFO services to clients. Marty has a BS in accounting and finance from San Diego State University.
Jim brings over 30 years of experience in information technology to Whiplash Inc. He has 15 years of IT experience in the transportation industry, including senior positions with global companies. His experience includes founding a help desk software company and consulting on global IT strategy, including extensive international experience with broad exposure in Asia. Jim received his BBA from Texas State University with a focus in computer information services.
Sarah’s experience spans engineering, engineering management, and organizational development in distribution and transportation industry roles over 20 years. She is responsible for seamless customer implementations during the onboarding process, including project planning, labor planning and design of the physical fulfillment operation. She also oversees continuous improvement processes throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure customers’ daily throughput and service expectations are met or exceeded. Prior to joining the Port Logistics Group, now Whiplash, Inc., in 2009, Sarah’s previous roles include director of engineering and project management for a $3 billion transportation organization, and the director of customer engineering for a major tire distributor. She has a BS in industrial engineering and an MS in organizational development & change from Case Western Reserve University.
Janise Kring draws on a dynamic 30-year career in logistics as Executive Vice President of Operations, overseeing operations activities at all gateway market locations. She brings significant wins in transforming supply chains and distribution networks to achieve operational excellence while enhancing work cultures and improving employee retention. Prior to joining Port Logistics Group, now Whiplash, Inc., in 2018, she was a regional vice president of supply chain at GEODIS Contract Logistics and has held executive and managerial positions at Home Depot Corp., Target Corp. and United Parcel Service. She attended California State University-Fullerton, Mihaylo College of Business and Economics and holds a Bachelors in Business Administration.
Valerie is responsible for leading the human resources (HR) division and has a passion for designing and implementing human capital strategies which enhance employee engagement and evolve company culture. An energetic, operations-oriented leader, Valerie brings a broad depth of expertise and out-of-the-box thinking to the company as she develops high-performance teams that deliver step-change business performance. She draws on her extensive leadership experience from across a range of industries. Prior to joining Port Logistics Group, now Whiplash Inc., in December 2018, Valerie held Senior Vice President and Vice President roles at privately-owned distribution and real estate development organizations. She earned a BS in Industrial Psychology and Master of Human Resources from Michigan State University.
A former owner of a logistics business and with a keen entrepreneurial outlook, Brian brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of operations and sales to Whiplash Inc. He oversees the sales team and processes at the company, responsible for delivering compelling solutions to potential customers. During the client onboarding process, Brian is also a key leader of the customer care team and maintains his advocacy role during the entire account lifecycle. Prior to joining in 2015, Brian was Managing Partner and President of F&L Shipping LLC, a family-owned bi-coastal wholesale and retail distribution center. His extensive background includes end-to-end third-party warehousing, client integration and national sales. Brian grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University.
As Senior Vice President of Ecommerce, Ryan Powell brings a wealth of experience from his years spent working across several tech and fulfillment organizations. Prior to joining Whiplash in 2020 following the former Port Logistics Group’s acquisition of the Whiplash platform, Ryan was the Head of Revenue for cloud-based shipping and fulfillment solution Easyship, which over three years he helped to grow into a leading global shipping platform. Ryan is currently tasked with guiding Whiplash’s ecommerce strategy with a focus on enhancing and developing best-in-class fulfillment and integration partnerships to offer merchants expanded, end-to-end ecommerce capabilities.
